With over 10 years experience working with small business owners through her work with Business Owners Institute (BOI), Kathy facilitates strategic growth sessions for BOI’s 90 day Fast Track program. She also is the lead content creator for BOI and Association Leadership Institute (ALI), creating manuals, guides and online content that is designed to inspire and provide support for small businesses and associations that are tired of doing it on their own.
Her purpose is to give people hope beyond their circumstances. "People are struggling, they are tired, they are lonely and they are overwhelmed. They are ready to give up. I am here to give them their life line." She can empathize with the struggles a small business owner faces and understands the incredible sacrifices they make. When facilitating for BOI, she also knows that excuses can become bigger than one’s goals so she drills down to the core goals that provide inspiration and motivation and helps eliminate the excuses that get in the way of their growth.
Kathy holds a degree in Business Administration from Germanna Community College and a B.A. in Mass Communications (Creative Advertising) from Virginia Commonwealth University. She was a licensed insurance agent for 14 years and has served on the board of Goochland Chamber of Commerce.
Kathy is originally from Fredericksburg VA. and moved to Richmond in 2000. When not working, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, creating art, exercising, anything outdoors, traveling and playing with her cats Scooter and Peekaboo.
