After building and selling a successful printing business, Chip came to Business Owners Institute in 2015 to help facilitate workgroups that take business owners through the Micro to Millions process.
Having always been a teacher at heart, business owners and leaders can expect an empathetic partnership that comes with a listening ear, and a safe and easy way to find solutions to the many complexities that arise in business. As Chip states, "I want to save entrepreneurs from making the same costly mistakes over and over."
Chip received his BA from Washington & Lee and Executive MBA from UNC Chapel Hill. In addition to facilitating workgroups, Chip serves as Jim’s sounding board and vision clarifier to help Business Owners Institute grow to its fullest and best potential.
Chip founded the Market Ashland Partnership (M.A.P.) group in Ashland, VA to help business promote their presence to external localities. He has served on the Board of Retail Merchants Association (RMA) and Printing Industries of Virginia (PIVA).
Chip was born and raised in Baltimore, Maryland. After attending college in Virginia and marrying his wife, Betsy in Baltimore, he moved to Richmond in 1980. When Chip is not working, he loves giving back to his church, gardening, reading, golfing and spending time with his grandchildren.
